If you had a choice between an infinity scarf and a normal scarf, which would you pick? If you asked me that question a year ago, I would have said a normal scarf. but then when I lost my normal scarf which I’d had for years, I replaced it with an infinity scarf. Let’s just say I won’t be going back to a normal scarf! After learning the basics of crocheting from my friend, I tried out making my own infinity scarf. My pattern was very simple, so I definitely recommend this if you are just starting to crochet. This is also a great idea for a Christmas gift!
You’ll need:
6.0 mm crochet hook
2 skeins of Patons Shetland Chunky (Category 5), but you can also use any bulky yarn
You’ll need to know how to:
slip knot, chain, double crochet, weave in ends
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
Foundation: Start with a slip knot, and ch 20 (keep the tension loose), ch 2 extra
Row 1: dc in the 3rd chain from the hook. dc 20 across
Row 2: ch 2, dc 20
Row 3-72: Repeat row 2
Once you have achieved the length you are happy with, fasten off and weave in ends. That’s it!
